Prank Killing

I'm no longer a graffiti warrior... I'm now a prank killer.  After numerous weeks of reporting the graffiti on the wall at 5th and Bainbridge, someone wrote "STOP THE PRANK KiLLiNG".  Except for some posters, the past month plus has been clear of graffiti on that wall.  YES!  This is proof that if you stay on the graffiti in your neighborhood you can and will make difference.  It's not pranks... it's vandalism.  Let's hope the rest of the vandals get the message.

5th and Bainbridge - Wednesday September 21
In the meantime, I like The Simpsons Chief Wiggum's solution to graffiti.  Go to 1:55 to see.

And in other news, I hope they catch these guys.  Not cool.

Thursday September 1

Front and Snyder behind IHOP near the pet store.  Sick fish. :(

Sunday September 4

Some of these are from my cat visit in Bella Vista.

Monday September 5 Labor Day

Date day with wifey.  Walked from the Franklin Institute to dinner on 12th to home.

Not actually graffiti.  Just a cute name for the place. :)
On Chestnut - reported to CCD.
Also on Chestnut - reported to CCD.

Tuesday September 6

Exit 20 off I95 North.
16th and Pine - been there a while so I finally pulled over and got the picture.

Wifey had class in the evening so I went down the 1300 block of Catharine (and nearby).  Lots of stuff that was taken care of by Saturday.

Thursday September 8

Broad and Christian
9th and Christian
I went to the dentist so I hiked up 16th and 17th and founds lots of graffiti.

Friday September 9

12th and Bainbridge
18th and Catharine again.
18th and Catharine... a tree tagged?
I thought we identified the culprit but it was cleaned up by Sunday.

Sunday September 11... Always Remember...

First it was off to the Jewish Relief Agency in the Northeast in the AM for the National Day of Service.  Some graffiti on the corner.

On the way home from the Farmers Market and Broad and Lombard.

In the afternoon wifey sent me to CVS.  I went down 19th and back across South.

And then later there was a dance performance at the Gershman Y and Broad and Pine.  More graffiti there and back.

Seriously on a city government building?  Broad and Bainbridge.

Monday September 12

On Columbus on the way to I95 North.
5th and South
I76 Off ramp
Hard to find parking... had to park at 13th and Christian.  I decided to make it worth my while and get graffiti on Christian on the hike home.

33rd and Grays Ferry

When you are forced to park blocks away you take the chance to report graffiti on the 1400, 1500, and 1600 blocks of Carpenter.

Thursday September 15

Cavity filling day!  Walked down 16th and got a few more things.  I then walked to the Acme at 10th and South.  There were a few things on Rodman that had been nagging me since I always pass them walking home on Shabbas.  I then walked down South Street home and got a few more things along the way.

30th and Grays Ferry
Oh look... trash at 18th and Catharine.
1600 Block of Chancellor.  Let's see if Center City District gets it.

Sunday September 18

More stuff in the Queen Village area on the way to the Farmers Market and on Broad towards the subway.

I had to be a witness at a wedding up in Kensington.  Lots of graffiti in the Broad and Palmer area.

Walking home from U Arts down Broad.
Fun vulgar graffiti at 18th and Bainbridge.

Tuesday September 20

6th and Catharine
I 95 North Exit 20 off ramp

I spent more time looking for parking than actually walking to and from my meeting and then home.  The meeting was at 11th and Spruce but I had to park on the 1200 block of Catharine.  Then after hunting for a spot home... for a while... I finally settled for the 1400 block of Christian.

Wednesday September 21

Under I-76... again.
Broad and Christian
15th and Washington
Thursday September 22

1700 Block of South St.  When you have to park far away from home at night you might as well get the graffiti.

Friday September 23

21st and Washington

Sunday September 25

There were a couple things on the 500 Block of Lombard that I cleared out.  I walked down 6th as there were a couple things nagging me lately.  Around 5th and Bainbridge/Passyunk a few graffiti tags as well.

After a long break, wifey and I trekked to Starbucks at 18th and Spruce to do schoolwork.  There a were a few tags down 18th.  Rittenhouse Market - particularly the alley behind it (Manning St.) attracts a lot of graffiti.  Both newspaper bins and the trash can in front of Starbucks were also tagged.  This is a reminder that we need to get to Starbucks more often... to do work... yeah... work.

Afterwards, I had to walk wifey to the Gershman Y at Broad and Pine for an event.  I went home but walked back to get her later.  I found a few things on Broad, Lombard, and Fitzwater.

Monday September 26

I struggled to find parking on the way home but eventually found a spot at Broad and Carpenter.  There is always graffiti down Carpenter.  This was only a piece of it.  (I wanted to go home and not stop for everything.)

Tuesday September 27

More struggling to find parking but it allows me to find graffiti.
